We Have Lift Off
The surrealism of a book launch
OK, ‘surreal’ is an over-used - and misued - word, but it did feel truly odd to be standing in front of a crowd at a London members’ club last night, launching my book, ‘Where’s The Money Gone? The Battle For The Soul of English Football’.
I’m immensely grateful to Byline Times for making it possible, and the folk who have already trusted me enough to buy it.
The live event yesterday at Vout O Renee’s brought in a few old friends and there was a lively discussion at the ‘top table’ where I was joined by Times writer Joey D’Urso, (whose ‘More Than A Shirt’ is an excellent read) along with Charlie Methven, serial football club director and co-host of our ‘Where’s The Money Gone'?’ podcast.
I’m currently planning a couple of follow-up events in the West Midlands and have an appearance talking about the book and signing copies at the Bewdley Festival on October 16.
I’m also open to offers from book groups, supporters clubs and bookstores for talks and/or signings.
Just email @goldbergradio@gmail.com - and please order the book here.
